  • Wait! I'm still alive!

Nope, I just got busy again.

I have been busy playing FF4 After Years and Exteel. Even better I have been recovering well from lovesickness by watching too many romance anime.

I have recently finished watching Clannad. And has devoted myself solely on another simple desire. Destruction. Well, a virtual one. So updates would be temporarily delayed. Until next time.

  • Stop the presses! Final Fantasy IV : The After Years!

Ugh... I didn't even knew this game existed, until my friend Keith mentioned it to me......

Looks like I'm gonna play a new game right now.....

Basically the stories continues after the end of Final Fantasy IV, and stars Ceodore, Rosa's and Cecil's son, and future Prince/ King of Baron. I can tell the story as I'm playing, but that could be spoilers don't they?

Currently I'm playing it on my sisters Wii.... Wheee..... This game system is the best for me, it's the king of offbeat games, and I currently love offbeat games.

  • Computers = Part 2

Here we go on the second part, on the first part, I gave you a (very confusing) info about what kind of processor and how RAM should you buy for a computer system on a specific purpose.

Now then, the video card and the motherboard.

Video cards are only imporant for two things, 3D modeling and PC gaming. Although most PC games do use 3D models, making and manipulating 3D objects and playing a PC games are still quite different.

For general PC usage, even built in video card work nicely. That's why cheap motherboards would almost always include a built in video card inside, because it can handle Windows, but for games, not really. So for games, a midrange video card would be the minimum. For professional , a mid range video card would be enough, for but perfectionists, a workstation video card would be optimal.

Midrange video cards? Workstation video cards? Err, that's for another topic...... (I'm lazy today, maybe tomorrow.)

The motherboard is a wierd topic. It's kinda hard to explain why some motherboard costs as much as $500, while the cheapest goes as low as $50? So I'll try to shortcut it.

    - It dictates how high the quality of the motherboard, which usually effects overclocking.
    - Expensive motherboards allow the use of more than two video cards.
    - More expensive motherboard generally have four RAM slots, cheaper ones only have two.
    - The expensive motherboards usually don't a built in video card.

So, generally, when you're on general computer usage or professional applications (Sure you can overclock, but I think stability is more important due to the work that can be lost in case of an unstable overclock.) even the cheapest motherboard would do fine, but for gamers, I think high quality motherboard could mean  huge overclocks which is good for gamers.

Overclocking is complicated topic especially for computer novices, so perhaps in a future post, I'll explain how it works. Just leave it at that.

Tomorrow I'll give example of computer builds and explain how useful and expensive they can be.

  • Nothing ready..... Oh well. Random stuff! =) COMPUTERS!

Crap. I have nothing to show off today, no Exteel screenshots, currently uninstalled Stepmania. And no more romance thingies because it would look like I'm a hopeless romantic. (Perhaps a little.)

    Ah well, just random stuff.

Currently my system is currently composed of :

    Motherboard : AsRock 945GCM-S
Processor : Pentium Dual Core E5200
    RAM : 2x 1GB sticks
VCard : Palit Radeon 4850 Sonic

Oh beyond the boring, nerdy stuff.

There are so many processors with different specifications inside then. Like Quad Core, Tri Cores and Dual Cores and Single core for processors, the of video card, amount of ram and motherboard. What kind of these stuff should people use?

    PROCESSORS :

In current times, the performance king is Intel. While AMD is one step behind. This means AMD is now the budget option. Generally if your product is not the fastest stuff there is, you tend to fight by quantity rather than quality. So this means AMD processors today are the cheapest things out there. This is good for budget oriented people.

People generally use computers for three reasons, work, play, and processing.

Now for work. This includes typing as well as Internet browsing. Now how fast do you want that computer? Nothing much, you can buy the cheapest processor and it will do just fine.

Caveat Emptor : Be wary of Pentium 4's they are cheats by offering high frequencies but still poor performance. DO NOT BUY THEM ANYMORE. They're also antiques now.

Games, now this kinda gets tricky. Processors run on frequency, generally faster is better. But there's also the core question. More cores generally mean also more performance, IF the application you're using supports them. But you can also run multiple programs and each core with process each program.

Judgement : Currently if you're playing games, you have generally two choices nowadays, a Dual Core processor with a really high frequency, at least 2.6Ghz. Or a decently fast tri core processor. At least 2.4Ghz.

These are the processors that fit the criteria. :

    Athlon64 X2 5200 (2.6Ghz)
    Athlon64 X2 5600 (2.8Ghz)
    Athlon64 X2 6000 (3.0Ghz)
    Athlon64 X2 6400 (3.2Ghz)
    Athlon X2 7550 (2.5Ghz but as fast as the X2 5600.)
    Athlon X2 7750 (2.7Ghz but as fast as the X2 6400.)
    Pentium Dual Core E5200 (2.5Ghz)
    Pentium Dual Core E5300 (2.6Ghz)
    Phenom X3 8600 (2.3Ghz)
    Phenom X3 8750 (2.4Ghz)

Anything faster than this and it's kinda overkill for most games, they're also pretty expensive. This means quad cores are kinda overkill for most games, and a fast dual core running at 2.8Ghz should be faster on most games. Also, the main idea is not to spend more than $200 for processors. Anything more and they're kinda a ripoff in regards to performance per buck.

Then lastly, processing, what I mean by processing is video editing, video capture, huge photoshop picture editing, 3D modeling and file conversion. Now these needs POWER. And most professional software support quad cores and even more. So in this regard, no question but quad cores.

    RAM :

In essense, the more RAM, the better. but in a budget, no person has unlimited money, so here's my suggestions for good performance.

For work, the minimum I suggest is 512MB of RAM, recommanded is 1GB, especially if you're using Windows Vista.

For games, the minimum I suggest is 1GB of RAM, 2GB is better.

For processing, 2GB is minimum and 4GB is better.

Well, this post is getting TOO LONG, we'll followup next post ok? See ya.

  • A Different Spider-Man

Current Mood : (Neutral, Relaxed, Neutral)

There was a time that Spider-man wasn't the exact person he is known today.....

                   This is Spider-Man. No lie.

Where his name is NOT Peter Parker but Takuya Yamashiro. A Japanese person.

He has a car, as well as a giant robot........

He also has a car as well as a giant robot named Marveller. The villain is not the likes of Doctor Octopus or Green Goblin but a man named Doctor Monster with his army the Iron Cross Army.

Does this mean he's richer than Batman?

If you would tell this to a casual Spider-Man fan, that person would have laughed at you or called you names..... But actually it is true, once......

Although the resemblance in pretty close, he's not Doctor Doom.

Watching this series answered one of the great questions of my youth.

Because I remembered those trading cards with superheroes on them (Japanese superheroes meaning Ultraman, Mask Riders, Lion Maru, and other similar shows) because I remember some of my friends having a Spider-Man card. Which confused me as Spider-Man should be an US made character. (Specifically Marvel.) It looks like this is the reason, he was one of them!

The reason that happened is that it seems on that time (Copyright says the late 70's.) there was an agreement at that time which enabled Marvel to use any Toei characters/rights while enabling Toei to use Marvel characters as well. Which this is the result.

Suprisingly enough, since Marvel again has the rights to the character, it seems Toei has allowed Marvel to stream episodes of this series, if you are interested in watching this tokusatsu series, Click Here.
    It's free from Marvel's website.

I have also included the theme song of the series on the MP3 player as well. Enjoy.

PS. If you want direct links to the MP3s I have uploaded on the MP3 player, just e-mail or tell me your contact details via the comment section.

  • From the Heart : Honesty? (Hoho) >_>

Current mood : (Neutral, Relaxed, Neutral)

    Hello. VM here.

I apologize for the too "emote" last updates. As its obviously because of the romance animes. Men can also mushy/lovesick, except they don't want to admit it.

So for something more "real" life...

I actually forgot about this Xanga existing at all, which explains the huge lack of updates. I was just reminded when my GF told me that I have said to her that I have an online diary of sorts.

And she was mentioned in there too. Which is true! (Before she became my GF.) But for some reason I am now afraid of showing this to her as she might misunderstand some of the things I wrote. I feel like I have sort of betrayed her although I didn't do anything of the sort.

But I have no intention of hurting anyone. She's very important to me and I really love her. I kind of envy her because she either have seemed to have definite closure on her past. While on mine I just seemed to avoid or ignored it. I just want some closure as well.

This Xanga update was actually made from the (dis)comfort of my Nokia N80. While "borrwing" another person's Wi-Fo connection. I specifically asked for this in my birthday. More on this later.

I have also a lot of stuff that I can show next time. Just not now. My right thumb is kinda being tortured right now. Hehe.

Lastly, for a minor edit, I noticed that the date of postage is still on the 31st of May. I live in the Philippines, which is now on June 1. I plan on daily updates on my time zone. So there might be double postings on the same day.Read more...
  • From the Heart : 1 or 0 (Zero)

    Type 1 : Romantic
    Type 2 : Depressed
    Type 3 : Inspired

When a person does not keep his absolute best to get the one person he or she loves..... It might be called "running away"......

Keep running away....... Without trying to do what you really want to do?

But is it always the absolute truth?

Yet we know inside, what is there in our hearts cannot be truly gone. And while it is not yet gone, it is not yet over. You will not give up. You can hurt everyone doing what you want. And yet, you can try to please everyone, but something would still be missing.

It's not like you love or hate someone, there is a measure, you can love someone, but that doesn't mean you cannot love another person greater. There goes the theory of Polygamy. In my upbringing and my logic,I should immediately I do not like it, but sometimes you would think, "I wish I could do it."

Ahh...... Engrossing yourself too much about love makes you think outside the box? Yet we're still inside it anyway.....

Crap. I'm going back to playing Exteel. Too much thinking doesn't really solve anything. Enjoy this Sunday while I still can.

But still.... What if you could change the past? But what also if you can still do something for the future? That one is possible unlike going to the past......

Hey, that's the perfect reason for me to stay alive. I wonder if animals do it the same way.

  • From the Heart : Fiction =?= Truth

    Current feeling :

    Type 1 : Romantic
    Type 2 : Depressed
    Type 3 : Neutral

While watching fictionalized romance, I have come to realize something. Most of these stories are kinda, well, dramatic. Are these intended so to entice the reader/viewer to finish the story? Or perhaps it is the kind of things humans will ideally want to happen to their lives?

In real life, in summary, is basic, there are no dramatic plots, usually a person just wanting a person of the opposite sex, experiencing companionship, and actually getting beyond it, real life. With it's repetetiveness and problems arising from the need for live. Yet we are happy with it. Do we really appreciate something that is very unlikely to happen?

And people will still continue to live, thinking that something might change, things improve, but yet, it is kind of impossible, because it is real life, and not fiction.

But then...... People will always look at the other side, and will think it is always greener. Until you are actually there yourself.....

PS. =?= is a equation lingo, it means something isn't necessarily always true.

PPS. I added the OP of EF : A Tale of Memories in the MP3 player.

  • Let's pretend there's no huge date disrepancy.....

    Current feeling :

    Type 1 : Romantic
    Type 2 : Relaxed
    Type 3 : Neutral

    Legend :

    Type 1 choices : (Heartless / Neutral / Romantic)
    Type 2 choices : (Depressed / Relaxed / Happy)
    Type 3 choices : (Blocked / Neutral / Inspired)

So ignoring the fact that I updated in about a year......

Currently watching this anime series - EF : A Tale of Memories and it's continuation of sorts, EF : A Tale of Melodies.
    PhotobucketPhotobucket

Currently planning to download any romance/comedy types of anime, for my GF. Still oddly enough, I ended up finding romance animes that is adapted from Visual Novels. (Most of them ecchi in nature.) But still they offer very unique stories and I was specifically looking for animes that wasn't broadcasted locally so I guess it's natural to end up with such choices.

Still the story(ies) of this one intrigues me, Memories has the stories of Miyako and Hiro, Chi and Kyosuke and Chihiro and Renji. While Melodies has two. Of Yu and Yuko, and Kuze and Mizuki.

(Text below modifed but still stolen from Wikipedia.)

Memories begins with Renji Aso meeting Chihiro Shindo at an abandoned train station one day after school, and returns to the same stations several days in a row to meet with her again, finally becoming friends with her on the third day. And while out during Christmas heading to his friend's Christmas party, Hiro Hirono stops near a church where his bike is stolen by a girl who passes by chasing a purse snatcher. After catching up to her, he spends the rest of the night with her and finds out her name is Miyako Miyamura. While Kyosuke Tsutsumi continues to ponder over the brief shot he got of Kei running through the city on Christmas.

While Melodies starts with a flashback is with Yu, Yuko, and Kuze in their younger days as high school students. At this time, Yu and Yuko have not seen each other for ten years. In the present day, Mizuki is staying over at Renji's for the time being until she enters high school, and does not have much to do while Renji studies for exams. Renji's mother introduces Shuichi Kuze to Mizuki, who discovers some of the things Renji was trying to warn her about him might be true. Mizuki and Kuze spend the rest of the day together, and the two become more familiar with each other.

The music you might be hearing now comes from the OP of Melodies. It's a nice song, although the English is somewhat mangled. (I want to see your insides!? How I always think that literally.... -_-)

Perhaps in the next updates I'll also show the next anime I'll be watching, as well as explaining my different hobbies as well as games I play. Until next time. =)

  • ZZZzzzzzz. Hmm? I won? Yey! :D

         Zzzz.... I'm bored. So let's post. :P

First, I won a local DDR tournament! It's a miracle! Well, in a basic sense it ain't. It's because the tournament only uses the medium difficulty settings, if it were expert difficulty, I wouldn't have won.

It's from a Timezone DDR Supernova Tournament. It's because there's no Timezone in San Pablo. I got into Lipa, Batangas (Which is about a 45 minute drive.) in about 4 weeks to get playing and maybe even win the tournament.

Anyway, in about 2 days time (That's October 26, Friday in the Pinas baby! :D) I'll be going to Market! Market! In C5 for the finals. If my calculations are correct I should be getting at least 4 thousand pesos worth of Gift Certificates. I know it ain't money (In a literal sense.). But at least I enjoyed myself. ;)

    Another topic :

Nice boat! : Sadly, the meme didn't last long. Although I would say it would be a while before I forget this hentai game/anime......... School Days.

First thing this is an H-Game that is composed ENTIRELY of DVD quality movies. Yes, about 3 hours of movies in about 8GB of data. Second, it's male lead...... Is the most natural person I've ever seen. Why?

First, you like a girl, then this cute girl classmate of yours offers her help you get you together. It works. Then after that happens she obviously confesses her love on you by kissing you on your way home. AND THEN, in another day basically offers herself (You know what) for practice on the girl you like. So in all basicness, what will most guys do? Do them BOTH! :D

Now, it's sad that most people would judge Makoto due to those actions when in reality there's more people to be blamed on what happened in the end.

Now, for some of the H-Game bad endings :

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtINBvu00C8 : *Splat*

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qs9ebsgce8 : It's a samurai thing.

How about the anime ending? It's a best of both worlds! Nice! (It's an invitation to watch the anime series.) :)

I suggest downloading the anime series and judge them for yourself!

    http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/1059.html

Anyway, lastly, there *might* be an MP3 playing (I'm lazy so I just embedded the the MP3 to autoplay, this means certain people may or may not hear the song) . It's Baby's Tears, the opening of the OVA version of Sky Girls.

I like the song because there's an alternate version of that song in DDR Supernova and the exact song in the OVA will be in SuperNova2. Good times. :)

Not to mention that...... Loli? Mechas? Count me in! :D

    Want to watch the series?

    http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/872.html : The OVA Episode

    http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/1051.html : The anime Episodes

The anime is still being aired in Japan so it's not complete yet.

Last and not important news :

My computer specs have been updated again, here are now it's specs :
    MSI K9VGM-V
    Athlon64 X2 5600
    Palit GeForce 7600Gs
    PQI 1 X 1GB DDR2 667Mhz RAM

And now it's the video that's bottlenecking my system with the RAM close behind. *sigh*

Lastly, because of my lazyness in editing stuff, excuse the messy layout of this Xanga right now. :P
